Volunteer Workday – North Chinquapin Bluffs prairie

Help keep the invasive plant Lespedeza cuneata from further invading our prairie restoration. This workday, led by Volunteer Stewards Frank Sanders and Suzie Rogers, will involve physical activity navigating unlevel ground, pulling and/or lopping of plants, and a 2-mile hike round trip hike to the prairie and back. Please bring water, work gloves, sturdy shoes and long pants.

Click here for directions to the northwest gate of Chinquapin Bluffs. Note, after turning south onto County Rd 2100E, you will continue south as 2100E turns to gravel and winds past a private shed/residence. ParkLands’ gate is approximately 300 yards past the residence.
