Occasionally, we have needs that are outside our budget for maintenance and rely on one-time special donations to cover the cost. These items are necessary for keeping our preserves in good ecological health. To the side you’ll see our current needs – please consider a one-time donation towards this item(s).
Special Need
Gator UTV
Support vehicles are critical when doing a controlled burn, especially on larger properties. We use the gators to allow access throughout the burn area both to monitor the fire and to carry water as needed for fire suppression. In addition, with new properties and additional volunteer stewards on our Woodford County properties north of the Mackinaw, an additional gator is very important to allow our volunteers and our Land Steward to use their time most efficiently. A generous donation has allowed us to fund half of this project. With your help, we can complete the Gator Fund and purchase this equipment in time for the burn season.
