Job Title: Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator

Position: Full-time
Hourly Rate: $23.00 – $26.00
Schedule: Flexible schedule; weekends as needed
Job Summary: The Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the Foundation's mission by strengthening community engagement, expanding membership, and supporting stewardship initiatives. This full-time position serves as a key connector between the organization, its volunteers, members, and the public. The role requires strong independent judgment, clear communication, and a passion for land conservation, outreach, and volunteer leadership.

Summer 2026 Internship Application Instructions
Restoration and Management of Native Landscapes in McLean and Woodford Counties, Central Illinois
Internship Goals:
- Gain hands-on natural lands management experience including:
- Invasive vegetation removal from and treatment at ParkLands Foundation sites
- Learn to identify native and invasive plant species
- Maintenance of trails, parking lots, and grounds
- Engage with the local community, hikers, and volunteers
- Work closely with professional land managers and biologists and learn management, restoration, and monitoring techniques from them;
- Coordinate with the land steward to
- Perform annual management activities;
- Assist with Foundation activities, site visits, and work days;
- Learn the importance of managing our natural area remnants.
