SUMMARY:Garlic Mustard Challenge
DESCRIPTION:***Update! Preserves Participating Change***  \nUpdate: As far as growing seasons go\, no two years are the same. Last year at this time\, the garlic mustard pulling season was almost over. This year it has barely begun! Scouting missions of the participating preserves found some with a decent amount\, while it was just beginning to sprout at others. Chinquapin and Lexington are out. Hayes and now Merwin (South Gate) are in! You will have the opportunity to choose your preferred location when registering. \n~~~ \nGrab your gardening gloves and pick a ParkLands Preserves for a friendly competition to see which preserve can get rid of the most garlic mustard! Garlic mustard is an invasive plant from Europe that crowds out and takes over native spring wildflowers\, including our gorgeous bluebells. The best way to get rid of it is by hand\, pulling it from the ground. All ages can take part and we’ll give you all the training you need to eradicate this species! \nWe will have team leaders ready to go at Hayes and Merwin South Gate. You can select your preferred preserve on the registration page. Which preserve will win? \nRegister Here
