SUMMARY:New Year's Eve Guided Hike
DESCRIPTION:Note:  This event was originally scheduled for January 1st\, 2021 but was rescheduled due to weather. \nWhat better way to bring in the new year than time outside?  Join us at Lexington Preserve on December 31st for a guided hike through one of our best-kept secrets.  From a prairie wildflower garden to hulking bottomland trees\, we’ll point out the must-see spots of this landscape while enjoying some fresh air.  Learn more about the Lexington Preserve. \nTo comply with current Illinois COVID-19 mitigation guidelines\, registration is limited to 10 people at each of two slots (12:00pm and 1:00pm)\, so hurry to grab your spot!  Masks are required for both guided hikes.  The hike is free to attend\, but donations are welcome upon registration.  Registration is required. \nRegister for the guided hike here\n\n  \n“Virtual” Hike Option\nIf registration is full or you’d rather hike on your own time\, don’t fret!  We’ve compiled various points of interest into a brand new trail guide to serve as your own virtual tour leader.  Use it New Year’s Day\, or any day! \nNEW Lexington Preserve Trail Guide\n \nWe’d love to see your New Year’s Day hike photos no matter which ParkLands preserve you choose.  Tag us on Facebook using @ParkLands Foundation (Illinois)! \n
